Double The Match A Success!

Summer camps just ended several weeks ago, and we were blessed to serve over 400 campers, more than 800 total campers so far this year! It’s our hope that those campers have returned home even more filled with the Holy Spirit and the love of Jesus than when they arrived.

Many of you have asked about progress on our new Gathering Place Dining Hall & Meeting Center, as well as major repairs being done to our south dock, wondering, “When will those projects be done?”, or “How can we help?”  Our goal is to have the work on both projects completed by the fall, but we still need help from generous donors to get there.    

Gifts have been coming in for the $50,000 Mid-Summer Challenge Gift, with the proceeds going toward both the dining hall and dock projects. Because of the generosity of our amazing Camp Zion family, we not only exceeded the original $50,000 goal, but doubled the match, and gifts are still coming in! In addition, we received several large designated gifts for the Give to Gather Capital Campaign for the Gathering Place. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

We expect that returning campers shared some fun stories and memories of camp with their friends and family.  Just think how our new 12,000sf dining facility and waterfront improvements will make their experience even better.
