Construction is underway for the new Dining Hall & Fellowship Center! This beautiful facility will be a tool that will help us better serve campers, staff, and groups for years to come, introducing them to a relationship with Jesus Christ. We are working hard to have the building ready for use by summer of 2023.
Camp Zion has been blessed with generous donors for over 75 years. Now, YOU have the chance to double the value of a gift to the Dining Hall project! Anonymous donors have generously offered us a $50,000 Matching Gift Opportunity! All gifts marked “Dining Hall or Gathering Place” from April 16 through June 16 will count toward the match.
Visionary leaders purchased the first piece of property on June 16, 1947. We want to honor that vision by completing this match on or about June 16, 2022, 75 years later. It is our desire to finish the building with no debt. With complicated and expensive code requirements, construction costs that are at least 27% higher than they were 2 years ago, and supply-chain issues, your generous gift will have twice the impact toward keeping the construction crews working, and moving us closer to the finish line.
Why do our donors give to camp? Perhaps these donor testimonials will inspire and challenge your own generosity:
We give to camp because we have seen the power it has to bring kids to Jesus, like no other place.
I give monthly to Camp Zion as a way to show that I am committed to the ministry and what happens at camp. Camp Zion had a really big impact on my childhood and my faith …In my years of donating to camp I have learned that every gift regardless of size makes a difference in keeping the lights on, keeping camp the sacred place that it is, and teaching people about Jesus.
Camp Zion is where I first came to know Christ and met other great Christians who became my lifelong friends. Giving back to Camp Zion brings me such joy knowing that my funds are being used to give the next generation of campers the best possible experiences full of learning to know God, meeting great friends, and enjoying beautiful Door County.
Thank you to our match donor friends, and thank you in advance for your generosity in doubling their gift! You may give online , or by mailing a check to Camp Zion, PO Box 32, Ellison Bay, WI 54210.
