Gillmores Transition To New Opportunities

5 years ago, God led Matthew and Hannah Gillmore to express interest in serving full-time at Camp Zion, and help raise their financial support to make that happen. The Camp Leadership Team and CCC Elder Board took a step of faith, and hired Matthew for the much-needed Operations Director position in September of 2017.

The Gillmores have decided that it is time to begin a new chapter in their lives, and live in an area that is less remote, closer to family. Matthew’s service with us will end in mid-February, and they will be moving to Mayville, Wisconsin where he will take a job in the private sector. We are certainly disappointed to see the Gillmores go, but understand, and want God's very best for them.

It has been a joy working with Matthew. His participation on our team has been a game-changer for Camp Zion. He is a hard worker, self-starter, has a heart for God, and understands the value of Christian camping in changing lives with the Gospel. Hannah’s participation in the lives of our summer staff has been a blessing. Their family is special to all of our campers and staff. They will be sorely missed, but we do hope to see them back in future volunteer roles from time to time.
